The National Assembly Library (Director Hyun Jin-kwon) held the 22nd “AI and National Assembly Forum” online, non-face-to-face, with the theme of “Communicate with Metaverse: Culture, Finance, and Digital Humans” on Thursday, November 4 at 3 pm. did.

The presentations were given by Professor Sihan Lee of Sungshin Women's University, starting with 'Regional culture and tourism industry riding on the metaverse', followed by Lim-bok Lee, CEO of Second Brain Research Institute, 'Metaverse Business' and 'Metaverse and Digital Humans' by Kim Se-gyu. The CEO of Vive Studios gave each presentation.

Metaverse is a platform that enables social, cultural, economic and political activities to be realized in virtual space and to interact with reality using ICT technologies such as augmented reality technology, AI, and block chain. In particular, since last year, in conjunction with the pandemic, the metaverse craze has been blowing across all industries and is expanding its scope.

Hyun Jin-kwon, director of the National Assembly Library, who chaired the forum, said, “You can understand the trend of the times just by looking at the rapid increase in new books containing artificial intelligence and virtual reality, including metaverse, in the library. We will communicate and share various information such as government and policy, and actively utilize it for legislative support information services,” he said.
